To save your story and that of your family is a gift you can create for your family, friends, your descendants and yourself. This book was written to help you feel comfortable to start your project of sharing your story and complete it! Once you have made the decision to tell your story, I want to help you know how to organize it so you will create a completed manuscript that you are proud of. Different people organize their projects in different ways so I am making this workbook to help everyone find the way that works for them. You can make this a big project that extends over many years or a small project that can be done in a couple of weeks.
The most important step is to choose to embark on this journey. Your story will evolve into a beautiful memoir that will be appreciated by all who read it. I hope you find this workbook helpful as you work through the steps of getting your life story into written form. |

PILGRIMAGE TO KAH-NEE-TA
Kah-Nee-Ta Hot Springs closed in 2018, so Joyanna republished her book, Pilgrimage to Kah-Nee-Ta, in a less expensive version with my help.
The book has been written for the many people who have fond memories of Kah-Nee-Ta. Originally it was published as a tribute to document the early history of the Kah-nee-ta Hot Springs, where I lived with my adopted parents before they sold the land to the Confederated Tribe of Warm Springs, and a journey She took with her son to reconnect with the land in 1991. In the movie, Out of Africa, Isak Dineson, often sighed, "I have a farm in Africa," as if it were her lover. Joyanna generated the same love-feelings about the hot springs in Oregon, owned by her adoptive parents, Dr. and Mrs. F. B. Freeland, where she spent memorable parts of her childhood and adult years. Because she still feels her spirit roaming those hills, valleys, and streams, she needed to reconnect with that part of herself and rekindle the spirit of her youth. May this book help you rekindle your memories. If you want to see more of Joyanna’s writings go to InnerFreedom.org or follow Joyanna Freeland on Facebook. |
COOL HARD MEMORIES
Klaus Ahuna has had a life that wasn't always easy. As he says, "These stories are accurate to me, mostly because I either survived it or lived through it. Some of it is happy times, some sad moments, exciting, and exhilarating times, and some funny excerpts. Some are "hell and back" stories. There are youthful memories that are as vivid today as when the events occurred. There are memories that will be with me until my final breath on this earth. I hope the reader will get some sense of enjoyment going through my stories, and potentially get from this is a different perspective on life. Read this book and voyage through my remembrances." This is one man's journey to contentment. By reading this book you will get insights on the strength of perseverance, forgiveness, and acceptance.
